Debbie helps organisations build learning and development that actually works, not just courses that get delivered, but provision that's quality-assured, compliant, and genuinely moves the needle for both learners and organisations.
Debbie provides experienced, values-led operational and management support to trainers, facilitators, and organisations rolling out structured programmes of courses or workshops. Debbie works behind the scenes so leaders and delivery teams can focus on impact and growth, while she handles the detail that keeps provision robust: course design, quality assurance, accreditation mapping, and learner onboarding.
Debbie brings 30+ years' experience in complex, high-accountability environments, including large-scale public sector and national charity organisations where the stakes for getting L&D right are high, and where compliance, quality assurance, and stakeholder trust are non-negotiable. That background gives her a practical, joined-up understanding of how training actually works under pressure, at scale, and under scrutiny – skills that transfer directly into any organisation serious about building L&D that holds up to audit and delivers measurable outcomes.
Debbie’s work has spanned the full L&D lifecycle: designing and developing new programmes, leading leadership and management development initiatives, introducing new workforce policies including appraisal frameworks, and supporting the training and development of aspiring trainers and assessors. Debbie has held responsibility for internal and external quality assurance, building and maintaining strong relationships with awarding bodies, and upholding consistently high standards across multiple regulated sectors. This includes her work with Dorset Fire and Rescue Service, where she introduced new appraisal and management development frameworks organisation-wide, and Help for Heroes, where she managed recovery-focused programme development.
Debbie’s background spans HR, L&D, project management, and wellbeing education and she has a particular interest in Employee Wellbeing and Support. Debbie has a joined-up perspective on how L&D connects to the wider people function – from workforce development strategy through to the practicalities of quality assurance and compliance. Debbie understands what awarding bodies, regulators, and internal audits expect, and she builds that rigour into provision from the outset rather than retrofitting it later.
Debbie takes a people-first, collaborative approach, and has been described as a vibrant, dedicated, and supportive leader by those she’s managed and worked alongside. Debbie is known for being organised, detail-driven, and invested in getting things right, not just ticking boxes.
Whether you need a fresh training programme built from the ground up, existing provision brought up to a rigorous quality standard, or an experienced pair of hands to strengthen your L&D function on a flexible, fractional basis, Debbie brings the operational depth and quality-assurance discipline to make it happen reliably, and without the overhead of a full-time hire.
